How do I link my Google Merchant Center to my Google Ads account?

Linking your Google Merchant Center to your Google Ads account is an essential step to using product data from Merchant Center in your Google Ads campaigns, such as Shopping Ads. Follow the steps below to easily link your accounts:

Step 1: Log in to Google Merchant Center.

  1. Log in with the Google account associated with your Merchant Center.

Step 2: Go to account linking settings.

  1. In the Merchant Center dashboard, click on the cog (โš™๏ธ) at the top right.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Account Links.

Step 3: Link your Google Ads account.

  1. Under the Google Ads heading, click on Link.

  2. A field will appear where you need to enter the Google Ads customer ID. This ID can be found at the top of your Google Ads account (it is a string of 10 digits, for example: 123-456-7890).

  3. Enter the Ads ID and click Save.

Step 4: Confirm the link in Google Ads

  1. Log in to your Google Ads account.

  2. Click the cog in the upper right corner (โš™๏ธ) and select Settings.

  3. Go to Links and look for the Merchant Center link request.

  4. Click Approve to confirm the link.

Step 5: Verify the link

  1. Go back to Google Merchant Center and navigate to Account Links.

  2. Your Google Ads account should now appear as linked.
