Verifying your payment method in Google Ads is an important step to ensure your ad campaigns run smoothly and that you're billed correctly. Follow the steps below to verify your payment method in Google Ads:
Log in to your Google Ads account: Go to the Google Ads website (https://ads.google.com/) and log in to your account with your username and password.
Access payment settings: Once logged in, click the gear icon (settings) in the top right corner of the screen. In the drop-down menu, select "Billing".
Manage payment methods: On the "Billing" page, you can see all your saved payment methods under the "Payment Methods" section. If you haven't added one yet, you can add one by clicking the "Add Payment Method" button.
Verify payment method: If you've already added a payment method, click the payment method you want to verify. This could be a credit card, debit card or bank account, depending on what you have set up.
Complete the verification process: You will now be asked to complete the verification process. This may vary depending on the payment method selected. For example, credit cards require you to enter card details, and bank accounts may require you to confirm a deposit and withdrawal to verify the account is valid (see image). If you have received a test payment, follow the steps below:
Complete verification: Follow the onscreen instructions to complete verification. Make sure you enter all required information correctly and follow the steps carefully.
Confirmation: After successful verification, you will usually receive a confirmation message that your payment method has been verified and is ready to use.
