It's important to continue optimizing your product feed for the success of your ecommerce store. To help you with this, a step-by-step plan has been drawn up to link your CMS to Uptmz. This is the first step to start generating and optimizing your product feed. To link Uptmz with your CMS you need certain information. Below we explain step by step how you can do this by obtaining the Consumer Key and Secret Key.

Step 1: Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard

Log in to your WooCommerce- account and go to the dashboard. Then click on 'WooCommerce' in the side navigation and then click on 'Settings'.

Step 2: Open the “Advanced” tab in WooCommerce settings

Click on the 'Advanced' or 'API' tab (depending on which version you are using) and then on REST API. Here you will find all the options you need to connect WooCommerce to Uptmz.

API tab

If you have the 'API' tab, click it and make sure the 'REST API' checkbox is checked on the 'Settings' sub-tab. Then click on 'Keys/Apps'.

Advanced tab

If you have the 'Advanced' tab, click it and then go to the 'REST API' sub-tab to create an API key.

Step 3: Generate the Consumer Key and Secret Key

Click on the 'Generate new Consumer Key' button to create a new Consumer Key.

  • Click the 'Generate API Key' button to create a new Consumer Key.

  • A new window will appear where you can enter a description for the Consumer Key. Give it a recognizable name, such as "Uptmz Link".

  • After entering the description, click the 'Generate Consumer Key' button. The Consumer Key is now generated and appears on the screen.

  • Immediately below that you will find the Secret Key. This is a secret key that you must use together with the Consumer Key to establish the connection with Uptmz.

Step 4: Copy the Consumer Key and Secret Key

Make sure you copy and store both the Consumer Key and the Secret Key in a secure and easily accessible location, such as in a password manager. These keys are crucial for the secure communication between WooCommerce and Uptmz.

Please note! You can only view your access token once, so make sure you keep it safe.

Step 5: Uptmz Configuration

Log in to your Uptmz account and then go to product linking. You will now arrive at the configuration page for the WooCommerce connection.

Step 6: Add the Consumer Key and Secret Key

Enter the Consumer Key and Secret Key in the appropriate fields (see image).

Step 7: Connect Uptmz to WooCommerce

After you have entered the information, click on 'Connect'. The integration between WooCommerce and Uptmz is now being established.

Note! You may be using plug-ins, such as Cloudflare, to activate a firewall on the domain. The downside to this is that in some cases this firewall blocks any outside action, so for example, calls to the API you created to connect your WooCommerce account with Uptmz.

The quickest and easiest way to solve this is to whitelist the server making the call to retrieve the products, this means you give the firewall an exception for that specific ip address. The 85.10.150.145 ip address must be whitelisted in order to make the connection.

We understand that linking may raise questions. If you run into anything, please do not hesitate to contact us at app.uptmz.com or email customersuccess@uptmz.com.
